Producer: | In 1967 Jaime Rodríguez bought the successful Finca Remelluri in the Rioja. When the son Telmo began his oenology studies, the path of the winery seemed to be predetermined. But most of the time it usually comes differently: after various stations, the bustling Telmo set about to turn the Spanish wine world on its head. In 1994 he founded his "Compania de Vinos", leasing and buying vineyards wherever possible in the classical wine regions of Spain. His declared aim was to emphasize the regionally typical vines and characteristics of the individual wines and to provide them with his personal signature. He was certainly one of the first winemakers in Spain to deal intensively with the topic of "terroir". Today, a team of 12 oenologists in different regions of Spain work under the guidance of the "master", who is constantly on the move to check the quality and typicity of his wines. |

In the wine region Toro prevails dry continental climate with some Atlantic influence. The summers are dry and hot, the winters are quite long, hard and also dry. |
