Manufacturing: | His recipe goes back to the British Montgomery Monty Collins, who first moved to Berlin in 1945 as a member of the Royal Air Force, where he was involved in the reconstruction of the Berlin zoo and sponsored a monkey named Max. After military service, Collins settled in the Black Forest and opened the country inn Zum wilden Affen. Here he developed a Black Forest gin, the recipe of which has been the basis for Monkey 47 Dry Gin since 2008. The number in the product name refers to a total of 47 ingredients that are used in the manufacture. In addition to exotic herbs, local herbs and berries also find their way into the gin. |
Degustationsnotiz: | The convincing result is a harmoniously complex gin with a clear juniper aroma, which is wonderfully complemented by a fresh citrus note, light pepper flavors and subtle bitter fruit notes. |
Enjoy: | Pure, as a gin & tonic or for exclusive cocktails |
