Producer : | The story of Masi Agricola is the story of a family and their vineyards in Verona, in the Veneto. The name comes from Vaio dei Masi, the small valley that the Boscaini family acquired at the end of the 18th century and still owns today. The winery, headquartered in Gargagnago, in the heart of the Valpolicella, is still managed by the Boscaini family under the direction of Sandro Boscaini. Without exception, Masi produces high-quality wines, which are mainly made from local grapes and which also combine traditional and modern winemaking techniques. The uniqueness and personality of each grape variety as well as the special regional style is reflected in each individual Masi product. Masi has undoubtedly revolutionized wine production in Veneto. |
Region: | Veneto or Veneto is the most diverse wine-growing region in Italy. The wine-growing regions of Veneto stretch from Lake Garda along the Prealps to the Adriatic lagoon near Venice and further northeast to the border with Friuli. White wine accounts for a quarter of the production - the rest goes to the Red Fraction. Unfortunately, bulk wines are still predominantly produced and only a quarter of the wines have DOC status. The province of Verona scores with Soave, Valpolicella and Bardolino, as well as with the most popular Italian wine - the Amarone - a top red wine of the country with a world-famous reputation. |
