Description

Producer : The roots of the Cantina di Negrar and the idea of community go back to the time of the rule of the Republic of Venice in the sixteenth century. The image of the lion of San Marco on a pillar in the center of the village of Negrar is still witness to this today. The cooperative winery was officially founded in 1993 and today has 230 members. A total of over 600 hectares of land are cultivated in the hills and terraces not far from Verona, mainly with red grapes such as Corvina or Corvinone, which form the basis for some of the best Amarone in the Veneto.
Region: Veneto or Veneto is the most diverse wine-growing region in Italy. The wine-growing regions of Veneto stretch from Lake Garda along the Prealps to the Adriatic lagoon near Venice and further northeast to the border with Friuli. White wine accounts for a quarter of the production - the rest goes to the Red Fraction. Unfortunately, bulk wines are still predominantly produced and only a quarter of the wines have DOC status. The province of Verona scores with Soave, Valpolicella and Bardolino, as well as with the most popular Italian wine - the Amarone - a top red wine of the country with a world-famous reputation.
Grape variety : Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara
Manufacture : Ripasso process, 2nd fermentation on the Amarone mash, aged for 18 months in large oak barrels.
Degustationsnotiz: Balanced and elegant on the palate, well structured, full-bodied with a medium-long reverberation.
Drinkability : year + 6 years
Enjoy: Uncomplicated, versatile food accompaniment to pasta, risotto, pizza or lamb.
