Producer : | Feudi di San Marzano was founded in 1962 as an enthusiastic project by the two well-known wine companies Cantine San Marzano and Farnese. Today this winery is one of the best known and certainly the most successful in the Salento region. It shows that good quality and an attractive price do not have to contradict each other. The wines are pressed in a modern way and are very popular everyday wines due to their good quality and top price. |
Region: | The fertile region of Puglia in the very south of Italy, practically on the heel, stretches 350km along the Adriatic coast. The Mediterranean climate and the widely suitable soils create ideal conditions for rich red wines, especially from the Negroamaro and Primitivo grape varieties. |
Grape variety : | Negroamaro |
Manufacture : | Hand-picked and repeated selection of the grapes before fermentation in a stainless steel tank. The aging took place in French and Caucasian oak barrels for 12 to 18 months. |
Degustationsnotiz: | Very strong, dark blue red. The nose is dominated by cassis, spice notes and cherry jam. Then full-bodied and soft on the palate. Again a lot of black fruits, vanilla and roasted aromas. Dense and pleasantly long finish. |
Drinkability : | year + 7 years |
Enjoy: | Everything from the grill including sea fish goes very well with it. Strong pasta variations or risotto, ripe cheese from the cow and goat. After the meal it was also wonderful. |
