Region: | The Ribera del Duero comprises around 12,000 hectares of vineyards. There is a temperate continental climate with slight influences from the Atlantic. It rains very little. Summers are very hot with temperatures up to 40 degrees and sudden cooling at night. The humidity also contributes to the most common fog formation in the Duero Valley. Gently rolling hills and high plateaus (700 - 800 meters above sea level) on both sides of the Duero river with light soils and a lime content of up to 18% meet optimal cultivation conditions. |
