The MXT 14 is a fully automatic, 8-stage 24 V battery charger for charging 24 V batteries between the 28th and 28th of December Ah and 300 Ah with up to 14 A as well as for the maintenance charging of batteries up to 500 Ah. The functional scope of the device includes a battery diagnosis that determines whether the battery can accept and hold a charge, a recond mode for reconditioning deeply discharged batteries in which acid layers have formed, as well as an integrated temperature sensor to optimize the charging process under all weather conditions. In supply mode, the MXT 14 can be used as a 24 V power supply source.

STEP 1 DESULPHATION DETECTED
. The current and voltage pulsate, removing sulfate from the battery's lead plates, restoring battery capacity.

STEP 2 SOFT START
Checks the battery's ability to charge. This step prevents the charging process from continuing if the battery is defective.

STEP 3 BULK
Charge with maximum current until approx. 80% of the battery capacity is reached.

STEP 4 ABSORPTION
Charging with a weak current until reaching up to 100% of the battery capacity.

STEP 5 ANALYSIS
Test of the charge retention of the battery. Batteries that cannot hold their charge must be replaced.

STEP 6 RECOND
Select the Recond program to insert the reconditioning step into the loading process. During
the reconditioning step, the voltage is increased in order to generate controlled gas formation in the battery. When the gas is formed, the battery acid is mixed, which gives the battery back energy.

STEP 7 FLOAT
The battery voltage is kept at its maximum value by charging it with constant voltage.

STEP 8 PULSE
The battery capacity is maintained at 95-100%. The charger monitors the battery voltage and gives a charging pulse as soon as necessary to keep the battery fully charged.
