History
If you think you know German history but haven't seen the Hotel Gat Point Charlie, you're "out". The hotel, a typical Berlin industrial building, was once the seat and secret retreat of the Ministry for State Security, also known as STASI. With more than 60,000 secret agents, it was the linchpin of the Cold War.

Location
The hotel is located in the district of Berlin-Mitte. Namely next to Checkpoint Charlie, the famous passage through the Berlin Wall from 1945 to 1990. In just 10 minutes you can reach the Brandenburg Gate, Museum Island and the Holocaust Memorial. If you are looking for shops, restaurants and pubs, you will find Friedrichstrasse literally around the corner.
